Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a regional hospital in Billings, MT.

Details

  • Inpatient Respiratory Therapy department at a regional hospital in Billings, MT
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Charting via Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued and valid through assignment start date
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
  • Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures, including arterial blood gas collection, per protocol
  • Administers respiratory medications and evaluates patient response, with timely communication to physicians, nurses, and other departments
  • Initiates and manages respiratory protocols and interventions based on patient assessment findings
  • Provides patient and family education on self-care techniques and health promotion
  • Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
  • Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and serves on clinical projects as designated by leadership
  • Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
