Job Description:

Position: Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Setting: Public Health & Teaching Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 7:00am-7:30pm
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Must be available to work rotating days
• No set weekly schedule
• No block scheduling
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Employees working 36 hours/week must work two major holidays during the holiday season

Travel Pay Package:

• $2,675 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Local Pay Package:

• $2,268 per week total

Overview:

• Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple patient care settings
• Work throughout correctional, ventilator, and medical-surgical units
• Assess and treat patients with a variety of respiratory conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide coverage across multiple units as needed
• Work in a public health and teaching hospital environment

Requirements:

• CRT or RRT accepted
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license required
• BLS certification required by start date
• Must be flexible to work varying days each week
• Experience with sleep studies preferred but not required
• Experience with Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) preferred but not required
• Prior correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required
• Physical within 1 year required
• Tdap required
• T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold test within 3 months of start date required
• Hepatitis B declination accepted
• Flu vaccine preferred but not required
