Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position involves providing respiratory care in a facility with a dedicated neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Candidates will be responsible for administering care such as CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and operating Hamilton C1 ventilators. The role requires at least two years of general respiratory therapy experience, with a focus on neonatal and pediatric patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required. NICU experience is mandatory with at least 2 years of general Respiratory Therapy experience. Knowledge and experience with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 ventilators are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU-specific experience and certifications such as NRP are preferred but can be obtained after hire.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, with specific focus on NICU procedures. Candidates should be familiar with the use of advanced respiratory equipment and procedures. Uniform required is all black scrubs.
