Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU/CVICU night shift position requiring an active Ohio RRT license and a minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience.

Details

• ,Works within RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU units caring for pediatric patients
• High level of care (Level 4) required for NICU, PICU, and PEDS patients
• May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Contract lengths of 8, 12, or 12-week assignments available

Requirements

• NBRC certification required
• BLS certification required
• Advanced NRP certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Active Ohio RRT license required in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Experience in PEDS, PICU, and NICU high-acuity (Level 4) care required
• Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the specialty required, from assignments worked in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients across NICU, PICU, and CVICU units
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric critical care team
• Two fingerprinting processes are required prior to start, one onsite and one through the agency
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free with no exceptions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Extensions with the client are permitted for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required before returning to the facility
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers may be considered as travel experience is not required for this position
