Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a 153-bed children's hospital with a Level IV NICU, requiring at least 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work in a 70-bed Level IV NICU at a 153-bed children's hospital
  • Patient population includes premature infants and neonates with diagnoses such as RDS, chronic lung disease, and post-surgical conditions
  • Equipment used includes oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
  • Epic EMR required
  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Current certifications: NRP, BLS, and RRT
  • WA state license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III or IV NICU
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Experience with oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered with a minimum of 5 years total experience, including at least 2 recent years in a Level III or IV NICU
  • One reference required for initial consideration; a second supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) will be required prior to start
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable, except maroon or spice
