Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/Pediatric night shift travel assignment requiring 1.5+ years of PICU/NICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care/Neuro Diagnostics NICU unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement of every other Friday/Saturday
• Float between pediatric units and NICU, with potential floating to adult units on the main campus
• Performs procedures including blood gas analysis, vent/BiPAP/High Flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PT
• Utilizes equipment including Servo I & U ventilators and V60 BiPAP
• Charts using EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required, including PICU/NICU experience
• BLS and RRT certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (may be obtained onsite)
• Active NJ or Compact license required at time of consideration, if applicable
• EPIC charting experience required
• Two current professional references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Previous RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have a minimum 1-year break from the health system before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• Candidates with open or active background/license hits will not be accepted
• Clinicians are expected to be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays unless otherwise specified
• This assignment is expected to serve as the traveler's primary work schedule
• Time off requests must be submitted and approved prior to receiving an offer, with limited accommodation for changes after start
