Position:Travel Respiratory Therapist

Position Details

  • Location: Sweetwater, TX

  • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Respiratory Therapist who will play a critical role in evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Your expertise will support patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions

  • Monitor and assess patient respiratory status

  • Operate and maintain ventilators and respiratory equipment

  • Respond to emergency respiratory situations quickly and effectively

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and therapies

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records

  • Deliver compassionate care while upholding the highest clinical standards

Qualifications

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess the following active certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification

Experience & Skills

  • Ability to provide respiratory care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics

  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
