Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) travel assignment available in Plattsburgh, NY. Start date: 07/20/2026 for a 4-week engagement on a hospital floor with 12-hour night shifts (3x12 Nights). Weekly pay range: $1,892-$2,072 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. This role may require floating to nursery and emergency department as patient care needs arise.

Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care to neonate through adult patients according to physician orders and established protocols
- Manage and optimize mechanical ventilation using Puritan Bennett 980/840 and LTV1200 ventilators; adjust settings and assist with weaning as appropriate
- Administer nebulized therapies and inhaled medications; perform airway clearance techniques as indicated
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis; document findings and patient response in the EMR
- Monitor patient status, assess oxygenation and ventilation, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; adhere to infection control practices and unit procedures

Requirements
- NY Respiratory Therapist license on file at the time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required; NBRC verification also required
- Experience: 2-3 years of RT experience; neonatal/pediatric exposure strongly preferred
- EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate as needed; eligible to float to nursery and ER; weekend requirements: every other weekend
- NRP required or demonstrated neonatal/pediatric experience; strong teamwork and adaptability essential
