Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
  • Certifications Requirements: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Experience Requirements: 1+ years of clinical respiratory therapy experience, previous travel experience preferred, permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility location
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, high level of autonomy, strong ventilator management skills, excellent emergency response abilities, valid state licensure, ability to handle complex respiratory equipment, and adaptability to diverse hospital environments

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients across various hospital departments, including critical care, step-down units, and emergency services.
  • Manage mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment, ensuring adherence to physician and protocol-driven guidelines.
  • Perform intubations, extubations, and emergency airway management procedures with precision and professionalism.
  • Monitor patient response to treatments, adjusting therapies as needed, and document care activities accurately within the electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-specific respiratory care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
