Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night). Day shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Night shift typically 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Team scheduling with weekends (Days every 3rd weekend, Nights every other weekend) and holiday rotation with permanent staff. Orientation: 3 x 12-hour shifts.

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator settings and provide advanced ventilator care for patients from neonates through geriatrics
- Deliver CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy safely and effectively
- Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy support and bedside spirometry
- Interpret and perform EKGs as part of comprehensive respiratory care
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate findings to the care team
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other providers to optimize respiratory outcomes
- Float to different inpatient areas as needed and adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing learning to maintain competency and best practices
Qualifications
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA preferred)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- NRP and PALS preferred (neonatal/pediatric experience helpful)
- Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience required (unit-level experience is important)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory therapy experience (as listed in job details)
- Driver's license required at submittal (used for radius verification)
- Comfort with EPIC charting and working with ventilator brands such as Drager, Servo I, Carefusion, and high-flow devices like Airvo2
- Willingness to float across inpatient areas, strong time management, flexibility, adaptability, communication, and teamwork
- Compliance with facility policies (e.g., artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas)
- Candidates may not be currently full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)

- Ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
