Respiratory Therapist

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | Onsite | Weekend team options available (Monday–Thursday or Friday–Sunday)
Key Responsibilities- Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and CPT
- Serve as first responder for intubation during code situations, with hospitalist backup available in-house 24/7
- Manage ICU patients including arterial line placement, bronchoscopies, vent management, and critical value reporting
- Maintain a high-volume workload of approximately 550 treatment minutes per shift, averaging 13–15 patients per shift
- Operate Servo ventilators (U and I models) and document care using Meditech EMR
- Rotate holiday coverage with permanent staff and fulfill charge or clinical coordinator responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active Georgia state respiratory therapy license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NRP required if assigned to NICU
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including critical care
- Prior experience in a facility with 300 or more beds
- Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with patient intubation and mechanical ventilation management
Preferred Experience / Skills- At least one prior travel therapy contract
- Experience with arterial line placement and advanced ICU respiratory interventions
- Familiarity with Servo ventilator platforms and Meditech EMR
- Experience managing COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and oncology patient populations
