    Job Title

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU / Acute Care – Travel Contract

    Location

    Austin, Texas

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends (approximately 4 per month) | No Call Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), and arterial blood gas collection
    • Manage mechanical ventilation and operate GE ventilators, V60 BiPAP, and Airvo high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) equipment
    • Administer and monitor inhaled nitric oxide therapy
    • Assist with bronchoscopy and intubation procedures
    • Transport patients on mechanical ventilation within the facility (e.g., to CT/MRI)
    • Collaborate effectively with RT department staff and interdisciplinary hospital teams across assigned shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
    • Minimum of 1 year of adult respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
    • Proficiency with mechanical ventilation management
    • Ability to work night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) with rotating weekend coverage
    • Experience with EMR systems (facility uses Meditech)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in adult critical care settings such as ICU or Emergency Department
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
