Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Key Responsibilities- Provide critical care respiratory therapy across mixed age-level units including NICU, PICU, ER, Level 1 Trauma, and adult medical/surgical intensive care settings
- Manage an average daily census of 6–7 ventilated patients with up to 40 visits per day in a 12-bed unit
- Operate and monitor advanced ventilatory equipment including jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillation, and nitric oxide delivery systems
- Float within specialty and to other units as required; every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled
- Adapt to patient assignments across all age groups, from neonates to adults, based on experience and skillset
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers considered with strong PICU/NICU-focused background and demonstrated competency in adult care settings
- Strong PICU/NICU experience required, including Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU; must also be competent to care for adult patients across applicable settings
- Experience with all patient age groups is required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (NRP or AAP accepted), PALS – AHA only for BLS/ACLS/PALS
- Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions; travelers are first to float
Preferred Experience / Skills- Hands-on experience with Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillation, and nitric oxide delivery
- Experience in ER and Level 1 Trauma environments in addition to NICU/PICU settings
- Familiarity with jet high-frequency ventilators commonly used in NICU environments
