Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | 12-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide critical care respiratory therapy across mixed age-level units including NICU, PICU, ER, Level 1 Trauma, and adult medical/surgical intensive care settings
  • Manage ventilated patients with an average daily census of 6–7 ventilated patients and approximately 40 patient visits per day in a 12-bed unit
  • Operate and monitor specialized ventilatory equipment including jet high-frequency ventilation, oscillation, and nitric oxide delivery systems, with 3–4 jet vents commonly running simultaneously in the NICU
  • Float within specialty across units and sister facilities as required; travelers are first to float
  • Work every other required weekend and holidays as scheduled
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required (BLS/ACLS/PALS must be AHA; NRP or AAP accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT; first-time travelers considered with strong PICU/NICU-focused experience and demonstrated competency across all age groups
  • Strong PICU/NICU experience required, including Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU
  • Competency and experience caring for adult patients across ER, trauma, and intensive care settings required
  • Experience with all patient age groups (neonatal through adult) is mandatory
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, jet ventilation, oscillation, and nitric oxide equipment
  • Comfort and flexibility floating to various units and care settings within scope with no restrictions
