Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patients across Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Perform airway management including extubation, intubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, pressure-alarm troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Support bronchoscopy procedures and perform sputum specimen collection
• Collect and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform chest physiotherapy
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams and provide respiratory support throughout the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department respiratory experience required
• Experience with patients presenting with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomies required
• Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or Compact equivalent) required at time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred; CRT candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience may be considered
• Experience with high-flow oxygen and other oxygen-delivery systems
• Familiarity with nebulizer and aerosol medication-delivery systems
