Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services within a critical care environment, including MICU and SICU settings
- Manage and adjust mechanical ventilation using lung protective ventilation strategies based on patient assessment and laboratory results
- Participate as an active member of the Code Blue team
- Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status, making independent ventilator decisions as appropriate
- Deliver care in compliance with facility protocols and applicable state licensure requirements
Required Qualifications- Minimum 4 years of recent experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 trauma facility
- Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Care license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a Level III NICU setting
- Familiarity with Drager XL and V500 ventilators
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) and/or Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification
