Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Rotating Schedule

• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management, ensuring proper patient response and safety
• Conduct patient assessments, correlate care with patient needs, and monitor responses to respiratory treatments including pharmacological interventions
• Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures accurately and report results promptly
• Follow respiratory protocols, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory standards during all procedures
• Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety during respiratory support
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures including intubations, arterial line insertion, pulmonary function studies, and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Active New Mexico state license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Pediatric and neonatal experience required
• Candidates must be willing to obtain NRP before or immediately upon start if not already current

• Experience with MedHost EMR system
• Prior travel therapy experience in an acute care or hospital setting
