Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care (RRT/CRT)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICUs, step-down units, and general acute care floors
  • Support complex patient populations including postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, heart and lung transplant recipients, and LVAD patients
  • Operate and monitor advanced mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
  • Manage patients with conditions such as ARDS, septic shock, pulmonary hypertension, acute myocardial infarction, and decompensated heart failure
  • Participate in emergency team activations as required
  • Chart using Epic; may float to the main adult hospital campus as needed within the same scope, policies, and equipment
Required Qualifications
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT will be considered
  • Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
  • No first-time travelers accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, or other mechanical circulatory support devices
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
  • Experience in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma facility
