Key Responsibilities
Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across ICU, step-down, and general acute care settings
Manage and support patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory and respiratory support, including ECMO, IABP, and ImpellaCare for complex cardiovascular ICU patients including post-cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, durable LVAD, and ECMO cases
Support medical-surgical ICU patients presenting with ARDS, septic shock, GI hemorrhage, pulmonary hypertension, and hematologic or oncologic emergencies
Participate in emergency team activations as required
Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
No first-time travelers accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical patient populations, including transplant and mechanical circulatory support
Familiarity with Epic charting system
Experience working in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
