Respiratory Therapist - Day Shift

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) with rotating weekends and on-call schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with physician orders and department policies and procedures
• Maintain knowledge of various methods of oxygen delivery and associated equipment
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including understanding the purpose and potential side effects of each
• Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform associated critical care duties
• Perform airway management and tracheal suctioning as required
• Stand and walk for extended periods; may be exposed to communicable diseases

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as required by state regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and respiratory therapy equipment
• Experience with mechanical ventilator setup and monitoring
• Ability to perform airway management and tracheal suctioning
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a critical care or acute care setting
• Familiarity with rotating weekend and on-call scheduling environments
