Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00)
Key Responsibilities- Manage non-invasive and conventional ventilation for a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients and exposure to intubated pediatric patients
- Perform arterial lines, arterial blood gases, and capillary blood gases, including draws from lines
- Administer aerosol therapy, manage oxygen delivery, and conduct bedside pulmonary function tests (spirometry)
- Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
- Operate unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, Viasys Vela, Viasys Avea, and GE Carescape
- Float within the facility and to a sister campus as needed
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Trauma experience required; facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Experience working in or supporting a Level 3 NICU environment
- Ability to work every other weekend and required major holidays per assignment schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills- Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) experience preferred
- Familiarity with interventional stroke-certified care environments
- Experience with neonatal/regional transport support settings
