Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Key Responsibilities- Manage non-invasive and conventional mechanical ventilation for a patient population spanning infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients
- Perform arterial lines, arterial blood gases, and capillary blood gases, including draws from lines
- Administer aerosol therapy and manage oxygen therapy protocols
- Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry as needed
- Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
- Float within the facility and to a sister campus as operationally needed
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Trauma experience required
- Ability to work with pediatric intubated patients in addition to adult population
- Familiarity with unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with pulmonary function testing and spirometry
- Prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center or stroke-certified facility
- Background working in or alongside a Level 3 NICU environment
