Contract | Days | Every other weekend, every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and breathing exercises
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and implement patient care plans
Required Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and respiratory care equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Experience with neonatal or pediatric respiratory care
