Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Variable days with on-call availability | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Administer medicines used in respiratory therapy safely and effectively
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory therapy supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate clinical records and charting
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, and other hospital personnel in a team-oriented manner
- Educate patients on their disease process and relevant self-care considerations
- Recognize and report patient-related or environmental safety issues to the appropriate supervisor promptly
Required Qualifications- Current Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as required by state regulations
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high safety standards in a clinical environment
- Strong clinical documentation and charting skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, dependability, and accuracy in all aspects of patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting
- Prior experience with patient education related to respiratory conditions and disease management
