Job Title

Respiratory Therapist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Variable days with on-call availability | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medicines used in respiratory therapy safely and effectively
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory therapy supplies and equipment
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and charting
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, and other hospital personnel in a team-oriented manner
  • Educate patients on their disease process and relevant self-care considerations
  • Recognize and report patient-related or environmental safety issues to the appropriate supervisor promptly
Required Qualifications
  • Current Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as required by state regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high safety standards in a clinical environment
  • Strong clinical documentation and charting skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, dependability, and accuracy in all aspects of patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Prior experience with patient education related to respiratory conditions and disease management
