Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | Every 3rd weekend required | No on-call obligation
Key Responsibilities- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation
- Collaborate with the clinical care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications- Active Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including every 3rd weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- ACLS certification
- Experience with neonatal or pediatric respiratory care
