    Job Title

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

    Location

    Fargo, ND | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Rotating Shifts (primarily 12-hour, some 8-hour) | Every other weekend and holidays required | Weekend and straight night status considered

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform respiratory therapy assessments and protocol-driven care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications
    • Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy; assist with intubations, bedside tracheostomy placement, tracheostomy changes, decannulation, and extubations
    • Conduct arterial punctures and blood gas analysis; deliver aerosolized medications and airway clearance therapies
    • Assist with bedside bronchoscopy and participate in emergency response teams and ICU rounds
    • Perform patient intrahospital transport and support care across multiple campus locations as needed
    • Utilize a broad range of respiratory equipment including Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, 3100B HFOV, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, Nitric Oxide, ResMed AutoPAPs, and Epic EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
    • Level 1 trauma and ICU experience required
    • Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds
    • Active North Dakota state license (NDSBRC) required — must be willing to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • CRT considered; RRT (NBRC certification) preferred
    • Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred
    • ACLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications preferred
    • Experience in Adult/NICU or Adult/PICU rotation settings
    • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced environment
