Contract | Rotating shifts including 8- and 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays. Weekend and straight night status will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Perform respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, including arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy, including high frequency ventilation (Jet & HFOV) and nitric oxide administration
Assist with intubations, tracheostomy changes, decannulation, and extubations; participate in high-risk deliveries and emergency response teams
Provide inpatient respiratory therapy care across adult, NICU, and PICU patient populations
Conduct ICU rounds and support patient intrahospital transport
Deliver medication therapy and airway clearance treatments using a broad range of respiratory equipment
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapist experience, with specialization in NICU and/or PICU; adult experience also beneficial
Level 4 NICU experience required, including high frequency ventilation (Jet & HFOV), nitric oxide, high-risk deliveries, and care of patients at gestational ages 22 weeks and above, including micro preemies
RRT (NBRC) required; CRT will be considered
BLS (AHA) required
NRP and PALS (AHA) required
North Dakota state license (NDSBRC) required or willingness to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred
Combined NICU and PICU experience strongly preferred; NICU or PICU with adult experience will be considered
Familiarity with Epic documentation and a broad range of respiratory equipment including Hamilton G5 & C1, 3100 A & B HFOV, Bunnell HFJV, Infant Flow SiPAP, Bubble CPAP, and home ventilators (Trilogy, Astral, Vivo)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills
