Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (RRT)

Florence, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, as needed to meet facility demands
- Deliver critical care respiratory support to patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
- Administer and manage respiratory treatments, assessments, and diagnostic procedures within scope of practice
- Participate in emergency response protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience, with recent critical care experience required
- Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications must be in hand at time of start
- NBRC (RRT) certification required and must be in hand at time of start
- Ability to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, within scope of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a large, acute care hospital setting (300+ beds)
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience with neuro diagnostics or specialty respiratory care areas
