Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (Hyperbaric)

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | No Weekends | 5x8-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT) across a variety of conditions
• Activate and operate hyperbaric treatment equipment in accordance with established training and protocols
• Maintain and perform routine cleansing of hyperbaric chambers and all ancillary equipment
• Adhere to Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) guidelines, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines, and all applicable regulatory requirements
• Activate and participate in emergency procedures and drills
• Provide quality individualized preventive and supportive wound care in conjunction with medical staff

Required Qualifications

• Must have attended an approved UHMS 40-hour Hyperbaric Treatment training program
• Maryland RRT state license required at time of submission — no exceptions
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers with experienced HBO background will be considered
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• Local travelers are welcome — no radius rule applies; rates are the same for all travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN) preferred
• Prior experience as an HBO clinician in a hyperbaric or wound care setting
• Familiarity with wound care protocols and advanced wound clinician practices
