    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

    Location

    Greenville, SC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services to an adult and geriatric patient population in an acute care setting, including Adult Critical Care environments
    • Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene
    • Administer a wide range of inhaled medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, metered dose inhaler, medihaler, and nebulizers (handheld, T-piece, and trach collar)
    • Manage and troubleshoot ventilatory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation weaning
    • Collect sputum specimens and perform pulmonary hygiene interventions as ordered
    • Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas within the clinician's documented competencies
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in South Carolina — must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
    • Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Trauma Level 1 experience required
    • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a bill rate reduction
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Proficiency with a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, pulmicort, xopenex, tobramycin, and related agents
    • Experience with advanced ventilator management and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
    • Familiarity with floating across multiple units or campuses within a large health system
