Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all forms of respiratory therapy to patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Evaluate patient reactions to respiratory treatments and recommend corresponding treatment plans
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to weekend and call requirements as determined by the facility

Required Qualifications

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience in an acute care hospital
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client-approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• PEARS certification preferred
• Post-secondary education in respiratory therapy or a related field
