Key Responsibilities

• Examine patients with breathing issues, analyze blood and sputum samples, and conduct lung capacity tests
• Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to improve patient breathing
• Manage, set up, and operate mechanical ventilators for patients unable to breathe independently
• Provide emergency care including artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Update patient records, consult with physicians on treatment plans, and assist with discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on disease management and proper use of home respiratory equipment

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by state
• NICU experience required
• Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing complex ventilator-dependent patients
• Familiarity with a variety of respiratory treatment modalities and equipment
