    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

    Location

    Madison, WI

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 36 hours/week | Evening/Night shifts (8 and 12-hour shifts available: 1900–0730, 2300–0730, 1500–2330) | Every other weekend rotation | Some holiday coverage required | One on-call shift per 6-week scheduling period

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services during evening and overnight shifts in an inpatient setting
    • Deliver care to both adult and pediatric patient populations as assigned
    • Float to other units within the facility as needed based on staffing requirements
    • Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled within the 6-week scheduling period
    • Perform telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation in accordance with facility standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required; pending license at time of submittal is accepted
    • Minimum two years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist
    • Graduation from a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
    • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • Must pass a facility telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; two attempts permitted)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with both pediatric and adult patient populations
    • Background in an inpatient acute care environment
