    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform airway management procedures including suctioning, tracheostomy care, and insertion and removal of endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope
    • Operate and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; perform setup, self-testing, and assist with preventative maintenance and repair
    • Perform arterial punctures, pulmonary function studies, oximetry and capnography monitoring, chest physiotherapy, 12-Lead EKG, and basic arrhythmia recognition
    • Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform PleurX catheter drainage where applicable
    • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines; document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges accurately
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license in good standing
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision within the scope of professional licensure
    • Competency in operating a wide range of respiratory care equipment including mechanical ventilators and aerosol delivery systems
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in moderate complexity laboratory testing including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Familiarity with shift-to-shift walking rounds and hands-off communication protocols
    • Experience assisting with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomies
