Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30 | Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood gas collection, ventilator initiation and management, BiPAP initiation and management, and high-flow therapy initiation and management across adult and pediatric patient populations
• Respond to codes and assist with in-house patient transport
• Administer medications and perform chest physiotherapy (Chest PT)
• Float between units including PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care based on skill set and hospital needs
• Operate required equipment including Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP
• Document and chart using EPIC; complete required non-billable modules pre-start and annually

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey or Compact Respiratory Therapist license required
• BLS certification required
• NBRC credential required
• Minimum 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submittal and approved prior to offer
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PICU and/or NICU experience highly preferred
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred; may be obtained onsite if not already held
• First-time travelers are accepted
