Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend (Friday/Saturday) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Perform blood gas analysis and interpret results to guide patient care
- Initiate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Respond to codes and participate in in-house patient transport
- Administer respiratory medications and perform Chest PT
- Float between Pediatric units and NICU, with potential float to adult units
- Document all patient care activities using the EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; PICU and/or NICU experience required
- Active New Jersey state license or Compact license required at time of submission
- BLS and NBRC certifications required at time of submission
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) required; may be obtained onsite prior to start date
- Experience with neonatal critical care and pediatric patient populations
- Proficiency with Servo I & U ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel assignment experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
- Experience floating across multiple unit types within a large health system
