Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday/Saturday) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Perform blood gas analysis, ventilator management, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen initiation and ongoing management
- Respond to code situations and participate in in-house patient transport
- Administer respiratory medications and perform Chest PT
- Float between PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care units based on census and staffing needs
- Provide care across a mixed adult and pediatric patient population
- Document clinical care and assessments using the EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Active New Jersey state license or Compact license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- NBRC credential required at time of submission
- Ability and willingness to float within scope of practice across assigned units
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 designated holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills- PICU and/or NICU experience strongly preferred
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP (may be obtained onsite if not currently held)
- Experience with Servo I, Servo U, and V60 BiPAP ventilator equipment
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records
