    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Neuro/Respiratory Diagnostics

    Location

    Newport News, VA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services in an acute care hospital setting, including ICU, ED, and Medical/Surgical units
    • Support NICU coverage for candidates with applicable experience
    • Deliver care within a Level II trauma center environment alongside a team of 7–10 Respiratory Therapists based on census
    • Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for all charting and documentation
    • Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
    • Active BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • PALS certification through AHA required; NRP required if candidate has NICU experience
    • Valid Virginia state license in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a qualifying compact license
    • EPIC charting experience required
    • Specialty experience within the last year required
    • One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NICU experience with active NRP certification
    • Experience working in a Level II trauma center or multi-ICU acute care environment
    • CRT credential in addition to RRT
