Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all inpatient areas and floors, caring for a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry as part of routine clinical duties
• Operate and manage a variety of ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen delivery equipment
• Float to different areas throughout the hospital within the respiratory therapy capacity as needed
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, nursing staff, and lead therapists to deliver coordinated patient care
• Rotate weekend and holiday shifts in accordance with department scheduling practices

Required Qualifications

• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 respiratory therapy experience required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory equipment including BiPAP and high-flow therapy devices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Experience working with neonatal and pediatric patient populations in addition to adult and geriatric patients
• Strong time management, adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
