Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across the full hospital including the ER, medical-surgical, CCU, and family birthing center for patients of all ages including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Manage mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, bubble CPAP on newborns, and Vapotherm high-flow oxygen therapy
• Perform arterial blood gas draws, breathing treatments, and EKGs
• Assist with intubation procedures as directed by clinical staff
• Complete daily shift equipment checks and accurate billing documentation for all procedures performed during shift
• Prioritize and manage a variable patient caseload independently, as the sole RT on shift the majority of the time

Required Qualifications

• Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist license required (RRT or CRT accepted provided all requirements are met)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP management
• Experience with bubble CPAP for neonatal patients
• Ability to perform ABG draws independently
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and function as the sole RT in-house during a shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a critical access hospital or low-resource setting
• Familiarity with Draeger ventilators, Philips V60 BiPAP, ResMed CPAP, and Vapotherm high-flow systems
• Experience caring for neonatal patients in a facility with an active birthing program
