Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services across general medical, intermediate, and ICU patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
- Manage and operate primary ventilators including Servo U, Servo i, and LTV, as well as BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high flow equipment
- Administer respiratory treatments using the AARC point system, targeting approximately 26–28 points per day
- Participate in a structured departmental orientation including EMR training, ventilator review, and preceptored shifts
- Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
- BLS certification required
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential required
- Minimum experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more)
- Critical care experience required
- Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus
Preferred Experience / Skills- RRT credential preferred over CRT
- Familiarity with ResMed S9 CPAP/BiPAP and Fisher Paykel heated high flow systems
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
