Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends and Holidays | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessment, diagnostic testing, and prescribed treatment and care for respiratory therapy patients
- Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory treatments and adjust care plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate department records and documentation within the EMR system
- Draw arterial blood gases as required for patient assessment and monitoring
- Respond quickly and effectively during triage situations, stabilizing patients for transfer as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License
- Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- NICU and/or PICU experience required
- Ability to draw arterial blood gases
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems strongly preferred
