    Job Title

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

    Location

    Portland, Maine

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (26 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Call Rotation Required (Approximately One Call Shift Per Month)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across adult acute care, critical care, IMC, NICU, PICU, pediatric acute care, and ED settings as part of a facility-wide team
    • Operate and manage a variety of mechanical ventilators and respiratory support equipment including Drager, Hamilton, Respironics, Airvo, Vapotherm, and Trilogy line devices
    • Maintain patient ratios in accordance with unit standards (acute care 1:25; critical care 1:8)
    • Float across departments as required, including NICU/PICU, pediatric acute care, and emergency department
    • Participate in call rotation, covering approximately two hours for the oncoming shift as scheduled
    • Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
    • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an RRT
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP certification required for NICU coverage
    • Experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital environment with Level 1 Trauma designation
    • Demonstrated competency in adult acute care, adult critical care, NICU/PICU, pediatric acute care, and emergency department settings
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • Experience in NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic care strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
