Job Title

Registered Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 26-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services across adult acute care, critical care, IMC, ED, and pediatric units including NICU and PICU as part of a facility-wide team
  • Operate and manage a variety of ventilators and respiratory equipment including Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy, Airvo, and Vapotherm
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:25 in acute care settings and 1:8 in critical care settings
  • Float to assigned units throughout the facility as needed, including adult and pediatric acute and critical care areas
  • Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
  • Fulfill on-call requirements, including a 2-hour call obligation for the oncoming shift
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU coverage
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Experience in NICU, PICU, and/or Cardiothoracic settings strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to float across multiple care areas within a large facility
