Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | Onsite | Every other weekend required; holiday coverage based on scheduled days
Key Responsibilities- Administer breathing treatments and manage ventilators across inpatient units, including ICU (up to 8–9 vents), with caseloads ranging from 40–70 treatments per shift
- Draw and run arterial blood gas (ABG) samples and perform EKGs for both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide respiratory care coverage across all inpatient areas and the Emergency Department; may be called to initiate CPAP on infants
- Assist with intubation procedures as needed; independent intubation is not required
- Perform outpatient bronchoscopies in a procedural setting
- Operate a variety of ventilator and respiratory equipment including Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, BiPAP V60, and Vapotherm high flow
Required Qualifications- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS
- Demonstrated experience in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult respiratory care
- Ability to manage ventilated patients and perform ABG draws and EKGs independently
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) designation preferred over CRT
- STABLE certification preferred
- Pediatric inpatient experience; facility is willing to train candidates without pediatric background
