Contract | Nights | Onsite | Every other weekend required; holiday coverage based on scheduled workdays
Key Responsibilities
- Administer breathing treatments and manage ventilators across inpatient units, including ICU (up to 8–9 vents), ED, and pediatric areas
- Draw and run arterial blood gas (ABG) samples and assist with intubation procedures
- Perform inpatient and outpatient EKGs within assigned respiratory coverage areas
- Initiate and manage CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy including on infant patients as needed
- Assist with outpatient bronchoscopies in a procedural setting
- Float within the facility only; no critical care transport outside the facility required
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, and STABLE certifications required
- Demonstrated experience in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult settings
- Ability to manage high patient volumes (up to 40–70 treatments per shift)
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required; must be disclosed at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- Pediatric respiratory therapy experience preferred; willingness to train on pediatrics considered
- Familiarity with Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, BiPAP V60, and Vapotherm high-flow systems
