Job Title

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Nights

Location

Reston, Virginia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ventilator-dependent patients across multiple care areas including Adult ICU, CVICU, PCU, NICU, Trauma, and Medical floors
  • Perform emergency airway care, arterial punctures, and A-line management
  • Operate and monitor equipment including Servo I, Servo U, 980 vents, V60 and Hamilton C1 BiPAP, Resmed Aircurve 10 home CPAP, and Radiometer ABL90 ABG analyzers
  • Administer CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow therapy, and standard aerosolized medications
  • Document patient care using Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
  • Perform approximately 20–30 patient procedures per 12-hour shift; float to all areas as needed (excluding charge duty)
Required Qualifications
  • Active State of Virginia Respiratory Therapy license
  • RRT credential required; CRT accepted
  • Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time hospital experience in critical care (adult)
  • NICU experience required
  • Proficiency in ventilator management, emergency airway care, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow therapy, and 12-lead EKG
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
  • Experience caring for NICU patients
  • Trauma patient care experience
