Travel Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Administer respiratory treatments including nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, and mechanical ventilation across assigned patient floors
- Manage a typical floor assignment of 20–25 treatments per round
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) using on-unit blood gas machines
- Operate and monitor oxygen delivery systems and related respiratory equipment
- Document patient care and treatment data accurately within the EXPANSE EMR system
- Collaborate with ICU and floor care teams in a fast-paced clinical environment
Required Qualifications- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current Virginia State Respiratory Therapy License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- ICU experience required — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills- Proficiency with EXPANSE EMR
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment
- Comfort with rotating weekend scheduling
