Travel: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – Nights

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 3x12 (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, manage, and adjust respiratory care interventions and procedures for pediatric and neonatal patients, including those in PICU and NICU settings.
  • Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment including Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, Oscillator, and Jet Ventilator.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, participate in physician rounds, and communicate patient goals, status changes, and care plan updates in a timely manner.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, charges, and education in the EPIC EMR system.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies including fall precautions, patient identification protocols, and communication handoff standards.
  • Float to related pediatric and neonatal areas as required by the facility.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current, active state licensure in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric and/or Neonatal Intensive Care experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity PICU or NICU environment with variable patient ratios.
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and a strong teamwork mentality in fast-paced clinical settings.
