Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights | 3x12 (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed per Week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients across multiple units including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma
- Operate and manage ventilators and high-flow respiratory equipment including Avea ventilators, LTV transport, V60 BiPAP, Vapotherm, and Airvo
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gas draws and processing
- Deliver care to adult critical care and high-volume emergency department patients, including trauma cases
- Adhere to weekend and on-call requirements as determined by the facility
- Float to other areas of the hospital as required
Required Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active licensure with the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult critical care and high-volume ED with trauma experience
- Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required (November 1 – April 1; declinations not accepted)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- PALS certification preferred
- Experience with arterial blood gas draws, processing on GEM analyzer, and blood gas interpretation
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
